Isle of Wight - Beach & Camping

Hi All, Does anyone know of a good beachy area to beach for the night. We are looking to take a pacific 22 and my 4.5m. Ideally on the northern part of the Island and preferably so we are on our own.

Thanks in advance

There's not many places that you won't get turfed off by the coastguard or locals, but both Priory Bay and just inside Bembridge Harbour have been done before.

Oh, and the 'Isle of Wight' and 'On our Own' are two things that don't really ever happen at the same time.

Nasher.

Nasher.
I know that! I was thinking about those, but I thought the Priory owns the beach and tend to move you on...

Presumably if you accidentally let the boat dry out on the beach you'd have no option but to wait it out. Probably until morning.

RIBase
Guys, I'm not sure we should be sharing this kind of info in public. The phrase 'queering the pitch' springs to mind.

I wouldn't want us to be responsible for hordes of chavs deciding to do the same thing and messing it up for everyone that doesn't make a mess etc. It might be worth sticking to PM's for this.
