Isle of Wight wild camping

Hi
So on Saturday night a plan was put together for a group of us to bring some boats (mix of ribs and dinghies) over to the Isle of Wight to camp overnight, sometime this summer. There's a strong preference to avoid "organised" camp sites. A bit of research on here shows there are a number of possible venues, including one at the East end of the island to which there's an annual run organised via this site, and another possibility 2-3 miles West of Cowes - but also that there's a preference to be careful with how much is said publically for fear of "queering the pitch". So is anyone able to help with advice via PM please, recommendations on where to go for somewhere pleasant you can anchor just off overnight and camp without too much risk of being moved on...?
Thanks!

Don't know whether this site is any good but might be worth a joining and downloading their POI's. Haven't tried it myself.
