It doesn't sound good.

Since my outboard give up the ghost at Easdale last month, I haven't had chance to have a look at the problem with my 1987 Mariner.
I went down this afternoon with compression tester and bore camera but the battery on the bore camera turned off , so that just left the compression test.
The top cylinder 120psi middle 90psi bottom 90psi.
So I wondered if it would start.....good news it did...but boy it didn't sound pretty.

My diagnosis is that it has suffered bearing failure, and no matter which way you dice it, game over.

You need to put your video on a hosting site, I use YouTube, then post a link to that video from the hosting site to Ribnet.
Unfortunately as much as we all love our forum it isn't the most technology advanced.

Don't take much to pull it apart and see, on the compressions if you put some engine oil into the bores and it improves thens its most likely the bores/rings. If it doesn't then it's the head gasket which could be why you have 90 on.2 of the tests, head gasket tracking between them.

Instagram is not the best for sharing because those clicking the link need to have an Instagram account to view it.

You Tube is easy and accessible to all

You can check it out live on www.boatmad.com, our sister forum. Naturally there will be different optics, but it's the same software.

Yea see your point, once it's stripped you have to fix or put back together or sell stripped.
