italian or british 8m?

i am on my way to get a new bigger boat and iam on thesearch for 8m boat... was thinking of the tornado after the answers i got on my previus thread. now people here tell me that the british boats are made long and with less wirdth for better handling in big ocean waves and that is not so good for mediteranean sea... they advise me italian boats with lower tubes height and more width... 8 m uk boats around 2.8 , italians 8m around 3.1m
any advises on this topic?

Do you intend to trailer the boat? If so the Italian boats will be much too wide for the road.

It is not a case of the British boats being no good for the med - just that the Italian boats are a bit prettier as a rule.

One British boat that is very suited to the med is the Cobra range - very good build quality and have exported a lot.

Revenger ribs have dealers out in the med and they do some very nice ribs. They have even made a revenger 29 specially for the med.

Check them out on http://www.revenger.co.uk/

Have you ever measured your Scorpion? I think you'll find its nearer 7.75m than 7.5m. Perhaps the same tape measure was used?

Italian of course.

They have the storage, and they are made for the Med. They are not spartan like the british made Ribs. The price includes everyting more or less except the engine.

Try
