its amazing what people throw away

I was working in a landfill site the other month and in the rubbish comes a full roll of 16mm double braid a bit dirty and covered in rats piss but deffo worth a clean up so decided to make some proper eyes in it for recovering the boat especially at the hawes pier at south Queensferry where its long and shallow it took about an hour to get the eyes spliced but the fids are definitely worth there weight to do it properly I wasn't sure who the manufacturer was but the rope is pretty strong we've already used it to winch over some large lime trees so I am fairly confident theres nothing wrong with it

About 15 years ago I found a 2.2hp Suzuki outboard in a skip at the boat yard. The tiller mounting had sheared off. I repaired it a great cost using a piece of angle iron and have been using it ever since.
