JMD 6.0m Rib - advice?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to purchase my first RIB, and have a wanted ad on thie RIBs wanted forum.

I've been offered an 18month old JMD 6.0m. I know of JMD as dive torch manufacturers, apparently the same people, headed up by one Julian Dyson, and based in Pickering, Yorkshire.

I'd appreciate any information on the build quality and seakeeping of these boats. Apparently moulds were supplied by Temptress of Scarborough some years ago, and have undergone numerous modifications over the years.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Boat now viewed

I've viewed this boat this morning - very nice order she's in too.

I see much talk of deadrise, could someone please advise me just exactly what that refers to and the benefits of the various options.

Regards

Paul

easy answer that

its how I feel when I get up in the morning

the equation can be calculated as follows :

Deadrise is proportionate to the number of beers consumed the previous evening, multiplied by the % strength of alcohol x100.
Do not forget to double this figure if a monday morning.

I'll leave someone else to give a more accurate answer, I dont like to steal any of the techies thunder
