Jura Pontoon

At last an upside to fish farms.

It appears that Fusion Marine are "up-cycling" old fish pens to make pontoons with Jura & Muck being a couple of the beneficiaries.

A large part of the one a Craighouse on Jura is reserved for the ferry (Redbay) but still a good facility and really the reason we chose Jura for yesterday's trip.

Like Muck worth having on your itinerary if you're ribbing out of Oban (about 100mls round trip) or "just nipping over from Ireland"

Pontoon on left hand side of third picture.

We're regulars in there. It's about right for lunch, distance wise. You may be aware, but there is a fantastic new pontoon on Gigha as well, just beside a very nice restaurant/coffee shop.
