Just a thought

I spend a lot of time thumbing through my West Marine catalog. It contains a lot of good technical info. that is also available on line. Their web site is: http://www.westmarine.com/ If you find the " West Advisor" on the menu you will have access to a wealth of good info. Some folks probably already use it, but perhaps others are unaware.
Regards, T.

I have found the West Advisor to be quite good.

The only problem is the cost of the stuff at WM. (well, that, and the somewhat new habit of rebranding items. And the fact that stock at stores is getting rather thin. And... )

That's cos the $ has all but collapsed - and they don't have VAT(but some states have sales tax).

Codders is correct, most US States have sales tax exceptions are Nevada + ???

However, if shipped out of state or country then sales tax is not applicable. WM also ship overseas at very atractive rates. Of course, import duty is your responsibility. ( tip: request the paperwork show "replacement or repair"Then duty is not required. Please remeber that jky is in Calafuckinfornia which is really a different county and they have a different set of cultures and values to the rest of the USA. and the world. However, so is WM based there.
