Ollyit, I would suggest passing the images and info onto the local police (and the local sailing club etc) so they can keep an eye out JUST in case he is sniffing for an easy picking (It could of course be entirely innocent!)

I wouldnt blame you in the slightest!
Do you have a clearer image of the individual?
If not Id suggest ringing the local plod now before the bloke has a chance to change his clothes and they may still be able to have a chat with him and at least have his details if anything does happen.

jeez, I can understand why people are worried, with boats, engines etc going missing... but am I the only one who when in a boatyard, wanders round having a look at other ribs? On the basis of Ollys' note below, I should be reported and stopped for questioning, just for looking!

I also enjoy looking at other peoples RIB's when in a boat yard. You can get some pretty good ideas by looking at others boats.
How many thefts you the ECA have from the yard every year Olly?

i agree that lots of people like to look around at boats ,but its the,,,, old pearl harbour syndrome ,,,if you have had a theft in the past ,last lot we caught some members of our club were all for dumping them out at sea, tell you what after an hour or so of crying they were hoping that the police would turn up ,,,and they only nicked a bilge pump and a couple of fishing reels . it dident go to court and they were only given a caution by the police ,,but the option of a very long swim seemed to shake them up ..

Isn't it awful that we have to worry about thieving scum nicking our hard worked for toys?
Can trailer wheels be relatively easily removed for security (or a single wheel).

It's easier to bolt a new wheel on than remove a clamp...

I guess so - but having seen how they cut through clamps on another video here a while back, I was wondering what else you could do.
