There is a reasonable gap to do most things. The standard package of this boat does not come with the rear seat and there is a better rear seat that I could have chosen. I just chose the wrong one. I will make it work and it is not too much of an issue to be honest. If the seat went any further forward it would have caused layout issues. I wanted the seat for storage and occasionally for people to sit on when slow cruising up the river etc.

I also anticipated this and the seat can be easily removed with no effect on the boat. Weight wise and layout the boat handles very well

And there were other benches I should have chosen but I made the incorrect choice. I will make it work though

Always just used a 4x4 or other large chunk of wood and lower trim till snug. Just make sure it can’t fall out if something weird happens. Keeps the bounce minimized and motor pretty tight to transom. I have always been told to never trust the flip up stops that many motor has. How much up may be dependent on your clearance. Used to use transom savers years ago but stopped. They look good but I want most weight as close to transom as possible. I’m not a physics person so reality may differ with my opinion.
