Kill cords - again!

There ARE certain occasions when kill cords aren't a good idea - but only for very experienced people in extreme conditions - for example when operating in heavy seas near cliffs etc where an engine cut could be a disaster.

Also - even if it WAS made compulsory it is very hard to actually catch anyone breaking the law - education is a far better option.

It is up to eveyone to get the message across - I am sure you always use one Hannah and make sure that other people do as well....

that is actually quite funny bearing in mind what we used to get up to prior to the lovely little ones......

however we never speed on the river, we always keep it below 8kph not 8 knots

so mollers fancy a trip on the river some time?

if you fell out of the 3.1 in the middle of the bristol channel then that baby with a super economical 15hp 4 stroker suz on the back would keep going all the way to NY, or to mollers neck of the woods

As long as I don't have to perform should we have carb trouble! Wouldn't look to good me lining one up over your 90 on the Thames. Might put Debs and Est off the old Cuce Sambos!!

and they are little enny weeny carbs on the 90 so it is so freugal, later ones are efi for cods benefit i believe

Yep. Kill cords are vital.

Three peeps were flipped out of their Scorp in front of us on a Weymouth trip. The RIB then kept travelling towards the rocks. A major rescue situation followed which could have ended in tragedy. As it happened, boat and crew were all successfully rescued.

A very visual lesson for me. I remember it every time I put the RIB in gear,
