Kill Cords - why you should wear one!!

See the link below to Bembridge Sailing Club website and photo sequence - yellow Rib was being tested within the harbour (possibly by commercial entity) - something happened and the Rib ended up embedded in a houseboat. Whilst no injury occurred luckily imagine what would have happened if the boat had instead ploughed through a group of beginner sailors of which there are many in the harbour? There really is NO excuse!

Interesting.

That looks very similar to the Ocean 650 with Mariner Optimax that has been up for sale at Bembridge OUtboards for quite a while. I looked at it a couple of months ago, but the tubes were really worn and it needed a lot of work.

I noticed that they'd put it on eBay recently:

Ocean 6.5 RIB 150 Mariner Optimax | eBay

and it's still for sale??! Maybe it's a different one?

I wonder if someone was taking it for a test drive...

I was told about this the other day as being such a similar boat I was originally thought to be the culprit.

I believe it was more of a collision wth the bow of the houseboat, but don't quote me on that as I'm just passing on what I was told.

The Ocean hull is a realy heavily built bit of kit, so would stand up to a lot of abuse, although the windscreen etc appears to have been ripped off.
