This kinda reckless safety stuff is so common. I know a guy who has a cable tie around his kill switch so he doesn't have to use the kill cord that he has wrapped around his tiller handle.

I would rather the, very occasional, times over-stretching for something pulls the cord and stops the engine than risk the situation suffered above.

And yes the Little Britain sketch was a classic.
