Hi Solent-Salted,
We are focussing on the leisure market currently but we may look into the commercial market in the future

Not at all, we just want to share as much as we can and receive feedback whilst we are developing our product. Not long before you will see the finished article...

You'd wonder - until you recall that Barrus got their start in BBQs too!

In my early days of diving tornado were the dogs dangles based on that you won't have trouble selling honesty of build a good customer after sales service is the key. We need outboard servicing badly around my area ( Retford ) an hour from you all the best hope it goes well.
Cheers Jeff

That seems very small for a 5.8.

If you want to be in the market I think it needs to be upto 140 HP (and able to take the KGs for a wide range of outboard manufacturers if not I'd view it as inferior to others that can and one that would depreciate quicker. Just reckon you need to be up there with the best in the segment or your marketing strategy may need to be rewritten. If a transom can't take it (or has been downspecied not to) then you end up questioning the overall quality...and your in the lower value segment by default. I'd say upto c5m maybe c5.5m a 100 works, a 585/6m needs the option to step up particularly when you look at the lighter weight and better economy of newer outboards. Just my opinion, others will be better qualified as I don't know the size of the outboard market, but I do know a 585 with a 140 is a great combo.
