Is name so important ?
Do you believe that "Ocean Master", "pacific warrior", "Atlantic arrow" really means what they say
Kraken web page doesn't work for me.
A few details are wellcome
- materials (vinyloesters or polyesters)
- method (like infusion or any other)
- width of the 5,8 boat
- possible seats and consoles
...
Even here or on FB. Good luck.

The beam of our 5.8m is 2.6m
We use Isopthalic resin and the boats are completely hand made which means we have complete attention to detail.
In our 5.3m - 5.8m range we offer jockey consoles in two styles and can easily fit additional seating.
We are building a new webpage so please give us chance to get this ready.
Thanks G

Maybe it is best time to buy good product from not well know company
In Greece good reputation companies (Skipper-BSK, RIBCO-scorpion, Technohul) have a lot of orders for big RIB boats so don't care for boats below 7.5m It is hard to have any offer from them.
Probably some popular brands in UK not need to attract people with low prices.
So if buyer is lucky and builder be well know and popular it can be good investment.

So general purpose isopthalic laminating resin.
Gelcoat ; brush or spray applied?
If spray ; cup, hvlp, or airless?
Resin;
Hand mix, or wet out equipment?
Chopper gun?
What's the laminate schedule? How many layers of what?
What cores do you use?
"Hand made" is the cheapest and easiest process but highly variable depending on how your laminators feel that day.
It's a reliable method with regular quality audits and someone who understands how to assemble good quality procedures. I'd strongly recommend investing in some automated wetout equipment if you don't own any already. Laminator dumping in imprecise levels of catalyst introduces a huge variable of product quality.

Hi there, we have been making boats for a very long time and have never had quality issues. Id love to tell you all our secrets but unfortunately we will keep our process.to ourselves as we are known for making the toughest ribs.
Our quality control is very strong and checked over by one of the best in the boat building industry. Ask any Tornado owner about their boat 😀

In my experience, "secrets" are only to cover up outdated or inefficient processes. The company I work for, we run a lot of Magnum Venus Products Patriot equipment. ISO/DCPD resin and ISO/NPG gel. We're experimenting with vinylester blends currently, but only for a few key processes. Cores are 100% synthetic, coosa bluewater, divinyl foam, or coremat.

When we finish the mould this boat was made in the UK. Production went over to China in 2008 including all of the moulds
The boats generally last a long time and look great with the PU material tubes. 10x more scratch resistant than Hypalon and look new for a long time!
As stated we have started with the smaller end of the range 5.3m - 5.8m and will build up to the larger sizes ASAP. We are starting small to begin with and need a steady flow of orders to help us get to where we need to be.
We have had a lot of requests for larger boats so it is only a matter of time...

The boarding patches are not an issue, not sure why they looked like that on the pic as the owner has no issues and we checked when you pointed it out
We have loads of pics on our Facebook page, slide shows and videos on YouTube.

Someone from China keeps them ?
And still made copies ?
Why not to ask for returning them back ?
I think that people now look still at price but quality also so I hope Kraken be good.
If 6.8 be copy of Tornado do you know details like
width, angle at transom, weight of the boat (setup like this one on the picture)
Why not named them "Tornado 2" or "Return of Tornado", "UK Tornado"
Why to clarify for every customer that KRAKEN == TORNADO
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Or maybe there is still TORNADO on the market ??
Made in China ?

Tornado is still on the market made in China. There are a lot of reasons why we can't use the brand name including a legal battle that is still going on.
Too much to go into on here
We will be designing new moulds and the good news is my father designed most of the Tornado Boats so we know the performance of our Kraken boats will be good! The Chinese can't say that and are just building what we did years ago, we are going to be evolving with new designs and methods to make our boats tougher and what customers want
