hi vandad,

i take my rib there every year, love it, although you need to be aware of a 10mph speed limit, which i believe is to be changed to 10 knotts! ( every little helps). How this seems to work in practice is they seem to tolerate people doing 14mph to wakeboard or knee board, this mostly takes place in the evening.
There is a police rib that patrols the take equipped with a speed gun for those taking the mick!
We take our touring caravan to place called "Hill of oaks" which has its own slipway and jettee.
you do have to register your boat, this can be done over the phone and sending a cheque by post, this last for 12months and i beleive this years cost is £15 then you need to make a 5 digit number plate for your boat.
there is good fishing on the lake, and plenty to see and do.

we will be there end of july aug if your about then. mike

I launched and registered at ferry Nabb a couple of weeks ago, used to go quite often

I paid £49 total

Annual registration £20 (ish)
Registration numbers £10
Use of slipway £12

Car parking....... Cost me £8.00 (no trailer)..... It used to cost £5 for car and £2 for trailer, they now charge dependent on how long you want to be there

Ill be there next weekend if the weather is ok

They don't seem to strict on speed as long as you take it very slow in the 6mph areas and not blasting it close to other boats etc, basically just have short quick blasts when there's no other boats around..... Shouldn't upset anyone if you stick to this, and yes there were quite a few boats "making good progress" for 10mph ;-)
