Hi Guys,

Going to Arran tomorrow at short notice for 10 days, in view of forecast will need to take Rib on the ferry, any feed back on the undernoted much appreciated

Can non AYC members use the concrete at the pier to park boats/trailers ?
Is there a fee for the use of old pier slip ?
My usual practice is to drop an over size anchor as a temporary mooring, in this case off Cordon, will need to be far out in view of tides, any issues with this re no take zone etc, enviromental issues ?

After reading previous posts I tried to pm the grocer a couple of days ago ( I am not too good on computers so dont know if he got it ) , any feed back appreciated ?

I have seen people launch boats on the slip but no idea of cost, I'm sure the phone numbers on the website would know though.

Another option maybe using loch ranza, better base to get to Kyle's, loch fyne or campbeltown, some info here

If no joy then the lochranza hotel worth calling to ask as the lochranza website doesn't work, the phone numbers might though. You would need to find out about launching at lochranza, I assume the ferry pier is what the locals use but worth asking.
