Launch some where along Moray Firth coast?

Getting towards the end of the season and my brother and I had originally planned to go to Loch Broom near Ullapool for a couple of days. but it's a 300 mile round trip and knowing my brother he'll be pleading poverty!

Anyone camped and launched any where along the Moray Firth coast? We've launched from Rosehearty and gone as far as Gardenstown a few times. What about further west? Anyone camped and launched around Findhorn, Nairn, etc? We're planning to go fishing. ANy tips. September 12th/13th are the dates - so hopefully there's still a campsite open.

Findhorn is beautiful, although access to the Moray Firth is tide restricted. In the past there were plenty of camping opportunities but I don't know the present situation. Coincidentally, I visited there two weeks ago for the first time in 15 years, having first boated there in 1970 !!! One of Scotland's best kept secrets.

Spartacus, nairn is an easy launch as long as you are right with the tide approx 2 might even scrape 2.5 hours either side of high tide should be alright, there is a camp site almost next door, and the mackeral are jumping onto fishing lines just now!!

Slight change of plan. I'd already booked a couple of days off work for Monday and Tuesday, but weather forecast for Monday looks horrendous - so just taking the Tuesday now. Nairn sounds great, but maybe next year. Will take a rain-check nearer the time - thanks for all the suggestions.
