Launching at Itchenor slipway

Hi all, Launching at Itchenor tomorrow around lunch time to go to Cowes. High tide is at 15:00 ish. How close can you get to high tide before the water comes over the ledge and gets to shallow to launch if you know what I mean. I have launched there years ago but cannot remember. thanks

Not sure about a ledge? The top half of the gravel slope is pretty flat, it only really drops off at mid tide or below IIRC, as you get closer to the channel.

Cheers
