Launching in Woolacombe bay

Does anyone know where I can launch near there? Boatlaunch doesn't show anywhere.

Is that near Kimmerage? If so there is a ramp there, have to pay though and a bit tidal I think.

Did I spell Kimmerage right?

Its between Croyde and Mortehoe. Looks like the closest big town is Ilfracombe.

Can't think of anywhere especially close to Woollacombe.

Best slip for Barnstaple Bay is probably Appledore, on the other side.

Nos,
There are three places I know of that you can launch from in that area.

1) Ilfracombe, shared slipway with the RNLI. Good slip, however parking can be an issue depending on what size boat you are launching.

2) Watermouth Cove, next to the campsite you can launch. You will need a 4x4 here.

3) Appledore, excellent slipway and parking facilities. You do now need to register with Torridge Council as there have been a few complaints about Jet Skis, etc. If you use Appledore do you homework on the naviagation. The Bideford Bar is very interesting. You need to keep inside the marked channel.

Cheers-looks like Watermouth will be the ticket . I thought it might be possible to launch off Woolacombe beach but eventually (they don't make it too well known) spotted that the beach is banned to boats
