See he's misquoting me again, I said COZ

As far as stuctural strength is concerned csm can be considered as a filler, with a 2" strand length load spread is minimal. with wovens or other long stand mats it is obviously much greater. Then you have to decide where and how you want to spread your loads, in which dirction and where you need to terminate them.
To quote a Meercat "simples"

I just read alot of boat building books and asked a few friendly boatbuilders questions. You will find there are many ways to build a RIB. The hard bit is which way is the best way, there is no answer to that. Everyone has there own way.Reading this forum and other forums you can gain ideas but no one simple answer.
The picture is of my rib that I am building. I built it without a female mould. The only wood in it is the transom everything else is fibreglass.
Have a look at this link. It may answer some questions. good luck.

I bonded the ribs (bulkheads) and stringers with 2 layers of 450 csm one layer of 600 biaxial and a layer of 450 csm all 200mm wide and stagered the edges, so there was a gradual buildup of thickness of glass for the bonding.
