Leaky fuel inlet

Just had a new fuel tank fitted and its been fine for a couple of weeks, but the last time I went to fill up the inlet hose where it meets the top of the tank was leaking fuel.

I can't get the jubilee clip that holds it on any tighter, so was thinking of using some plumbers tape to seal it. Does anyone know if this sort of tape (PTFE?) is OK with petrol? Is there an alternative?

I've asked pro-sport about it but would rather get it fixed this side of the summer....
