The Jackeens - Will do!
Rogue - Same Hull as the raceboat with some small modifications
Codprawn - As soon as the CE stuff is done!
TQboater - I thought "BananaShark" might be appropriate!
This one will be the demonstrator and as soon as the upholstery and some other bits and pieces are done in the New Year, (and run in!) she will be available for test drives!
Fitted with Carling switches (digital switch gear)
Smartcraft SC5000 (the colour one - first to be fitted in the country?)
A frame you can wakeboard from with built in nav light mountings and platform for VHF, GPS, searchlight and radar.
Colour Garmin GPS
Red LED deck lighting
Teak or non slip flooring
Non slip foredeck
6' foredeck locker
Anchor locker
Foot / hand throttle
Gaffrig throttles
I think that covers it for now!

Looking Good Cookee,
How much dare I ask?
What is she like in a bit of chop?
As for a 6' locker dose this not make it a cabin rib?
Nick

Hi Nick,
No prices yet but I'm sure you could afford one!
The only differences between the race and leisure hulls is some detail changes and it's a bit heavier, The race boat has won in a force 7 in the Solent so I think it'll handle a bit of chop just fine!
The cabin would be quite comfortable for Count Dracula on his own for the night, but it isn't really designed as a cabin, although for one it could be OK for occasional use with proper ventilation of course! The locker is fully lined and not open to the inside of the hull except for an inspection hatch, so it will remain dry at all times - something no other rib has that I know of? (For it's size of course!)

What is the stepped hull like in turns? Easy to flip if you are a bit cack handed or foolproof???

Good actually - although some stepped hulls are prone to flipping although our experience of the behaviour of the race boat is that it can spin out if pushed very hard (don't forget the race hull is considerably lighter and with less skeg / gearbox in the water). Despite some overenthusiastic helm work from yours truly in the heat of an offshore race or 2 we have never even come close to rolling / flipping it - ever!
It would be foolish to say anything is foolproof so I won't - but if you are cack handed or even really pushing the boat hard the worst that we have experienced is spinning out and coming to a stop, and that is in race conditions!
There are hulls out there, both stepped and conventional, that have handling problems, I think that too much emphasis has been put on what was 2 or 3 ribs and a Batboat flipping in a race situation - and now everyone questions the safety of stepped hull boats - it's bit like saying I wouldn't buy a Ford Focus because I saw Colin Macrae crash one once!
Keep the questions coming and I'll answer them the best I can!

Cookee
You mentioned during the "Weary Traveller" evening that you planned, what sounded to me, as a very innovative, under-hull anchor. Can you tell us more, preferably with some photos please?
