I wouldn't bother, it'll get electrolytic corrosion and fall to bits, you might get up one morning to find a load of rust, plastic and aluminium oxide.
I'd buy a 20 year old Pajero instead, so what if you look like a Welsh Pikey RIB nobbur.

THought about trying the LR forums !? .. theres plenty of 90's that are green if you don't mind drab green ... on a serious note try Witham's .. they do a lot of MOD direct sales (and RAF and Navy ones are Blue), and prices seem to be ok, if you don't mind a LR thats been dropped out of a chinook ! ;-)

Good luck in finding ANYTHING left hand drive in the UK these days for a good price....
I had a good thing going about 5 years ago buying LHD stuff in the UK and taking across to France where we would register it and punt it off for nearly double the money.....nowadays,there are so many dealers that have set themselves up selling LHD stuff that as soon as something comes on the market it gets snapped up and advertised soon after for some seriously unrealistic money. Prices in the UK for LHD stuff are now nearly identical for what i can buy it for in France!
As Horacebat says, try the x-MOD stuff but be prepared for a seriously basic and un-refined Landy. Withams sometimes has LHD United Nations vehicles in a very fetching shade of......ermmm...white
You might get lucky and find something on Flea-bay but from previous experience, a decent landy in LHD guise will be like looking for rocking horse s**t.
good luck with your search
Simon

Yes yes indeed.....chewy I knew you to be a man of intelligence and sense. Just need to find a bag large enough to pile the buggering excuse into and post it to Canada. The customs will take one look at all the white powder and brown crystalline stuff and send it straight back.
You see it's for a Canadian friend of mine and she's stuck on blue. I did tell her they all end up the same colour but it's a girl thing. She likes her toys blue. I tell her they end up brown but she says it depends where you use them. Talking of playing does anybody know what Pajero means? ( Spanish coll. ( and it's sold there with that name!))
discomick, horacebat and Anchorhandler thanks for the pointers. I have an ex Navy or RAF machine in mind.
Interestingly I had an episode with an S111 pickup on Thursday. I was behind said contraption on Chiswick roundabout when a body part made a bid for freedom. The passenger door had come clean off.
For some reason I swerved to avoid it and parked up. S111 was on another lap and when he pitted we discovered that the top hinge had sheared and wrenched the bottom one clean off the body.....with some body (not somebody) still attached.
We reunited the door with it's rightful owner by slinging it in the back.
As the LR drove off a seat cushion fell out only this time he didn't stop.
There you go........a car that has a space to keep the bits that fall off it as it trundles along. I have a feeling that the seat cushion didn't realise that we put the door in the back and jumped to join it, maybe looking for a better life.
If anybody knows or has heard of the owner then I have the seat cushion.
My faith in Defenders and Series LR's has taken a big knock. Can anybody restore it?

Isn't that what LR owners wake up to every morning?

There are a few loopholes if Denmark or Ireland are used as staging posts and ownership isn't transferred immediately. Only works for friends with benefits! Not for commercial use.

pajero - WordReference Forums has a number of explanations of Pajero one of which is a "bearer of straw" presumably they interpret this as load carrier, the others could be interpreted as "good for playing"
Laputa is probably NOT a good name for a car in Spanish speaking countries either, possibly interpreted as "giving a good ride!".

Any spaniard will "double take" and tell you it means WANKER. The nips didn't do their homework.
Even they don't get how this car name got there.

Here, fate can be fickle... does "Mr. Jingles" have a similar meaning in any foreign lingo?
It's just.. actually, nah, forget I asked.

It might be worth contacting my brother (Phil) at Dunsfold Land Rovers, he does sell odd ones, though they are mostly the older models. He has a large customer base and gets offered stuff all the time, he may know of something.. 01483 200567

On a serious not you'd be best finding a decent example of what your looking for and getting it sprayed.
