Lidl Chest waders

Might be worth a trip to Lidl to see what they've got left after the fishing gear they were selling yesterday (got home too late to post-sorry!).

They were selling chest waders with boots for a tenner. Most useful for launching...

Got some yesterday. Not sophisticated, but perfectly adequate.

Fishes look out!

4 Boat Rods
1.5 kilometeres of line
300 hooks

£72:50

Clearly it isnt match quality but it isnt going to get that kind of use. Pity they werent doing lead weights and feathers.

Checked on the web site last night. Yep. Oban's brand new store has them in stock. Set off today first thing. 23 miles later, walked around empty (of customers) store. No waders, one fishing rod. You chaps don't know how lucky you are.

At least I got some petrol for the weekend - even then, the cap on my new plastic can leaked. I've cancelled the rest of the day.

Decathlon fishing rods

Hi, sorry to hear about Lidl or Aldi running out of fishing rods. They have loads here in Spain, I bought the boat rod, reel & line (20e), & a holdall for several rods for 12e.

I notice this morning that Decathlon - I think they are in the UK - have retaliated by selling a similar setup (minus the line) for 10e. They had loads in stock, sorry if they aren´t near you.

The Aldi waders looked good too, top size here is 46 so no good for me.

I noticed yesterday that the bizare "coffee and other staggeringly random stuff" shop Tchibo had some dirt cheap fishing stuff too. Might be worth a try if there's one near by.
