Lidl Stainless Carabina's

Lidl have these on offer at the moment, several packs of different sized ones for £3.99
The M8 size were 4 in a pack rated to 230lb

There were larger 3 in a pack and smaller with I believe 12 in a pack.

They looked to be good quality, grab some while you can.

No idea, I don’t think they were stamped. They’ll be just cheap Chinese “Stainless”. I’ll have a look the next time I’m in.

They are definitely not marine grade Stainless but they last well. They sell them every year and I bought some around 5 years ago. The tarnished one has held my PLB to the life jacket for that amount of time and its holding up will. The shiny one is marine grade bought in a chandler in Mallaig about the same time for comparison.

So saying I also bought the shackles to use on the car topbox..they still look like new but then..they are not in salt water. IMO Worth a punt if you need them..but don’t expect top quality stainless steel.

Thanks Jeff..Im heading for the city tomorrow as Im baby sitting grandson ..so will pop into Lidl and have a look.

I suspect it will cost more than they say..simply bacause .. a lot of their battery tools come without a battery and charger. You have to buy them extra ..which bumps up the price a fair bit. I may be wrong regarding the chainsaw but I have looked a bargain drill prices before..then realised it didnt include the battery. Parkside tools have standard size batteries which is why they get away with it..and I dont have the battery
