Life Jackets ...

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone could advise me about Life Jackets? All the Life Jackets I have tried on are extremely uncomfortable, when they are fastened they sit right across the middle of my boobs.

Are there any around that are perhaps a little big longer?

I am afraid that will not solve the problem, it only makes it worse. The problem is the position of the bottom strap crushing my boobs!

I used to waterski and I found waterskiing life jackets fit better than regular ones.

Hi Willowkis. Yes, I understand your dilemma. I had the same problem - you feel like a human accordian. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a lifejacket to you because I haven't needed one for several years. In addition, I live in Canada and we probably don't have the same ones as you do over there. Sorry!

Hi their

I belive Crewsaver do one that you wear round you waist like a bum bag.

If you need it you open the bad, put over your head and inflate.

Maybe mot ideal but nothing to interfear up top.

Have you looked a crewsavers catalogue, I think that did an option that was waisecoat design and there are also models built into jackets for pilots etc.
Also cawesalt do a range that may be helpful.

My daughter got her bouyancy aid for water skiing from criag cohoon www.craigcohoon.co.uk she also had your problem
but very pleased with the fit as it has 4 buckels two of which fit below the chest.
the vest is a jobe 4 buckel pro approved to EN393
range go from XS toXXL
watch out for the neprene type as I dont think they have an approved rating

You might want to try one of these jackets. They are low profile so that they don't bind around the arms, provide plenty of floatation and in the woman's models, they have made anatomical corrections for comfort. These are made to float a swimmer in extreme whitewater, so they should work fine for ribbing. I wear a Stohlquist myself.

Palm is one company in the U.K. that may have something appropriate.

We spend a lot of time near Poole, we stay near Corfe Castle, I particularly like Kimmeridge Bay. Where abouts do you go? Can you recommend anywhere to take the rib?

we only changed our sib for a rib at the begining of this year, so have stayed pretty much around poole harbour ,swanage bay, studland bay area, as water skiing, ,fishing and now wake boarding can all be done without traveling too far
ventured up to mudeford as we used to use our sib out of mudeford key,
Have you been into poole Harbour and round the islands yet?
brilliant especially now most people have gone home.
are you planing to use your rib all year round or do you lay up for winter?
