Location of petrol barge/berth on the thames needed

Can someone advise me where there is an easily accessible petrol berth on the Thames between Teddington and Canary Wharf which does not require locking into a marina?

Warmest regards,

Jonathan

Unfortunately there aren't any marinas selling petrol on that part of the Thames. The fuel barges on the river only sell diesel. How much do you need? There's a petrol station very close to St Kats dock, although that replies on locking in, taking a short stay and then carting jerry cans up and down the road. You may be better off taking additional fuel with you before you set off on your trip which will last you until you get back.

I wouldn't bother to lock in to St Katherine Docks as the lock openings are limited and very slow. I've been able to go into the inside of St Katherine's pier in the past and have seen other RIBs there picking up fuel. It's not exactly handy though.

It's just as close to Limehouse, but it's not exactly close to either. A friendly mini cab is usually needed !

I usually fuel at gravsend but that's also hard work and not quayside

How friendly are London cabbies these days when presented with jerrycans of petrol?

As far as I can remember there isn't any quayside petrol between Shepperton and Chatham so it's definitely an issue...

Friendly enough that a few drive by and eventually one stops !

Walking with them empty is never an issue. It's 10 mins from StKats. Too far to walk back with 20kg on each arm

Gravesend is equally far, maybe further. Same issue with cabs - they shouldn't do it. But at least here there is a pretty good pontoon (st kats in my experience you can only lock in for the tide, I've never been "allowed" to use the all/states).

My best kept seceret is the hermitage moorings just downstream. Great guys. All states mooring.
