Loch Lomond

alright Chaps?

having a look around at accommodation for a few days in a couple of weeks time on Loch lomond. Where would you recommend? There seem to be many options! Preferably somewhere with its own marina!!

cheers

We've stayed at Rowardennan a few times, great location but the hotel now charge for launch and recovery plus mooring, think last time we went added £150 to our weeks boating, shame really because the lodge we have stayed in is brilliant. There are log cabins just nth of Balloch that have access to slips and pontoons / moorings, I'm sure someone will have the details on here

I'd avoid the ferry though ;-) Marine Accident Investigation: Vixen

Personally I'd be tempted to squeeze on a wee bit up the river to the drovers... search for 9d280's post for details.

Had a fantastic time on the Loch - learned to water ski! mainly pottered around inveruglas, near our holiday park, but headed up to a wee island for lunch one day, and across the loch for supper!

thanks for all the great advice
