Likewise! Will look forward to seeing how the other pics look as well, much appreciated! my mates were saying "would be ace if we could see those pics" so was chuffed to see your post!
Out of curiousity, having a 4-stroke, how much fuel did you go through? we managed to use about £80 on Saturday towing ringo's for most of the day!
Thanks again,
Si

Hey,
The engine is very economical, I done about 55-60 miles and I spent about £50 ish, I brimmed the tank before going out so I would need to brim it again to make sure but it is in that region.
Cheers

Well, technically, that may be slightly misleading. Scotland is a wonderful place for exploring because of its forward thinking access laws; those laws include the right to wild camp as part of responsible access. You should be aware though that those access rights only extend to people who access the land (or water) without an engine, so don't apply to RIBs (they do apply to small sailing boats, canoes, kayaks, walkers, cyclists, horse riders etc).
Camping on the islands of Loch Lomond may well be tolerated for rib users if you are responsible, but beware Camping on Loch Lomondside is a sensitive issue, with the stupidity of a small number resulting in new bylaws preventing camping on a large swathe of the East coast of the loch (outside designated sites). There is a desire amongst some to extend that ban to Inchmoan, Inchconnachan, Inchtavannach and Inchcruin. You may want to ask if you want to camp in areas (and/or times of year) when the sort of behaviour that is attracting attention is likely.
If you are going to the islands to camp then be responsible: go in small groups - not great gangs, clear up afterwards (including human waste), stay only for a short period (3 nights max), don't play music that disturbs everyone, keep fires under control, and bring your own fuel - don't chop the trees down.
Inchcailloch is a designated nature reserve. It does have a small campsite which must be prebooked. (Camping elsewhere is like to antagonise the rangers).

just wish it was a touch closer still, every time we've been over the last 30+ years we've had a great holiday, seem to remember even being buzzed by a Hercules, that made the Avons rock n roll
