Unless there's something that you specifically want to see/ask/talk about with the manufacturers you'll probably get a better deal online, plus you will save all the money on tickets, travelling etc. We're only going because we get free tickets & we're staying with boaty friends for the weekend & making a trip of it. Personally I wouldn't make a special trip, just to go to the show, it's not worth it. We will get there mid-morning & spend about 4 hours in the show & leave about 4ish & get a meal.

Ive found that with other shows (Diving, Motorcycling, Mountain biking, outdoor activities) you dont get good deals at the show. I dont expect the boat show to be different.
You do get to feel, see and try the products, ask questions and have a day out.
But for buying you cant beat shopping online, where its easy to compare prices without getting off your backside.

This made me chuckle ..considering the great big black RIB parked on your drive
I've ended with a jetski and a RIB and a couple of canoes from the Soton boat show so I know its easily done

We are down that way with friends, so going over on the Sunday seemed to work well - but I have taken the jump on some of the kit I need as this is standard NMEA stuff, Ordered all the kit I need to get the basics setup.
I will poke and prod with the HH VHF's and chat to Evinrude about the gauges I want, as I cant seem to see any for sale in the UK.

Evinrude won't be there AGAIN Makes you wonder if they actually want to sell engines in the UK

I was watching online and got the advert, just assumed that it would be an online advert.
Yeah noticed the from £10, and I've just paid & £11 with RYA discount! Typical! Although the RYA tickets are any day, but only a single day!

I think the £10 offer is for entry after 4pm which they did last year and do at Southampton

The £10 tickets are valid all day, but only on the Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday and must be purchased in advance through the website.

Indulgeon will be there on the Lindon Lewis Marine Stand if anybody wants to talk about the pros and cons of shared ownership!

Just got back from it. After less than an hour and a half looking round we were done It is such a shame, even five years ago when we went it was a huge show with so much to do. And last year with the outdoor show next door there was a bit more to do also. A real disappointment

Sounds like it's running out of steam up there, I reckon the tickets will be cheaper still towards the end
