Looking for advise on a new rhib

Hi guys i will be looking to buy a new bigger, more stable rhib this summer. If i was to spend around £10,000 but could push it up to £15,000 if needed would i be able to get a good decent rhib (i am looking more to a humber) with a minimum of 5 mtr in length and a minimum of an 80hp both with decent age.
Would i be on the right track with these figures ? and what i am after ??

Would imagine £15000 could get you a very nice nearly new rig.
We recently upgraded to an all new XS 500, 60hp motor, trailer and a few extras for quite a bit less than your upper budget. We did take advantage of slack factory time over early winter for the build when there is a chance for a small saving. Very pleased so far.

your right its big dosh for most and it needs a good coat of looking at before you jump you have a boat for this season so no sweat there bide your time make enquiries get some prices & spec's then next winter make your move would be my advice, consider your seating though they soon take up all your deck space in a small rib two seat jockey helm and rear bench seat are a nice compromise IMO leaving some deck space to fish. i had 4 jockeys in my boat to start just me and the wife when it got rough just me like being on a bus on your own ended up taking two out a lot better then. OMO of course.

Yes jeff you are totally right about the waiting game to make the move but i am male (can we wait for new toys) but one thing is for sure there will be a good few month before buying one so when it comes down to it i will probs end up doing that and yes i can see what you mean about that many seats i would like atleast seating for me and another 2 and if more come out with me theres plenty of deck space topull up a pew lol. another thing would be how easy would it be for me by myself to launch a 5 mtr in to the surf ?

well i never launched in the surf with the rib we use to do it every week up at redcar with 4 m inflateables and its no fun you have to be with it keeping it bow out plenty of help [4 men we had] but the worsed bit is getting it back on the trailer if it gets swamped its game over it will get damaged and your pride and joy will look sh--e in a few months dragging it back on the trailer through the sand. my advice slip it every time full control you get everone aboard in controlled conditions they are big heavy things rolling around in surf near kids & the wife and thats the other big thing if the family see the danger they wont want to come and that will spoil it big style for you and them. sorry for the negative but talking from expearince when we learnt the hard way.
launching on a slip on your own roller trailer a piece of p-ss make sure you have a bit of keel guard fitted to the bow at the keel so you can pull the boat to the concrete to rest it whilst you take the car away.
