Excellent Dave I've been in the, water with basking sharks, Dolphins , seals etc but these big lads have escaped me hopefully one day thanks for sharing.

The closest we’ve come, was being investigated by a pod of pilot whales whilst we were on a deco stop in Normandy many years ago. They just appeared from the gloom, hung around for 5 mins & left. Scared the bejasus out of me when they first appeared, all you saw was a dark shadow approaching. Still remember it though.

The three I remember the most was my face six inches off a wolf fish looking for lobbies, an angler fish attacked me off the Skye bridge chuffing thing was massive & spending 4 hours being towed around by Freddie the dolphin off amble just surreal was that, only time I've been on the tele news got us down as navy divers coaxing him into the harbour whilst they blew up a mine

I enjoyed swimming in touching distance of manta rays in December. Great fun, until one came in the opposite direction with its mouth wide open - easily big enough to fit my head and shoulders. The boat crew said I looked like I was trying to climb out of the water.
