Marine surveyor / RIB appraisal

Anyone know of a good (cheap !) marine surveyor who can evaluate a used RIB in Salcombe, Devon for me ??

The hull of this boat has been anti fouled, and I am a complete novice (Muppet !!).

Seriously, its more for peace of mind.

Any advice, phone numbers etc appreciated.

Big A , understand your concerns entirely , as we were in exactly the same position a few months ago. The timing is awkward with the Boat Show two weeks away , but have you spoken to Ribcraft themselves , who seem to know their own boats quite intimately. Is towing her to Yeovil for a definitive " MOT " out of the question ?

Hi Bern

I've been speaking to your co-owner JCW about this only this afternoon !

Apparently the RIB I'm looking at has white self eroding (?) antifouling on the hull & back end of the tubes.

As I will probably trailer, can this be removed & the hull/tubes be treated with anything so I don't need to antifoul, or can this International high speed antifoul be applied ?

Should I be concerned about this or am I worrying over nothing ?

Ribcraft closed all next week on annual leave, otherwise I would call Jason.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have put Interspeed ultra on RIBs and it is very good. If you need to put it over another make/kind of antifoul International have a primer which goes on first and you can then apply the new antifoul, it worked a peach when I used it.
