mariner remote

Chaps, my chum's side mount remote (mariner 40hp 2T FNR ) will not go back together as it did when it was working.
Basically it wasn't broken but we took it apart to "have a look" and now we can't get the bugger to work.
Does anybody have a pic or a link somewhere to view a correct layout?

go to a merc/mar dealer and ask for a print out of the exploded view, your nearest may be Chas Newens

They are bit bit of a nightmare to put back together. Have a look at the parts diagram. It might help.
