I've bought one - hoping it gets delivered today . Despite the piss taking ( is that swearing ? ) without the effort put in by KY I'd never have even know they were on ebay that cheap - so a very succesfull bulk buy thread I reckon.
Thanks again
Pete
PS - I still want a pouchy thing for £6 if anyone has them .........

Here the pack is £7.85 inc free p&p (to Jan 20th)
https://sslrelay.com/proviationshop....%3DMMFFBOUY%26
the 'pack' contains two - one black one yellow so you could always share with another on here - even posting one on makes them < £6

KY- mine has arrived and is the correct model- with also the offer of RNLI membership- battery valid until 2015 and all serial numbers correct from box to unit.
Great deal not matched anywhere, will register it in next few days.

The size difference from my older fast find is significant, these new ones are very pocket size. I hope no one ever needs to use them.

If I get time I will film a demo of setting one off (using a dummy), so you can benefit from knowing what to expect if you do ever need to use yours.

Spoke to MCA today and they are ' a bit behind in sending out the registrations' .......... so the 2 week turnaround may be more like three to four...........

This was the case last June too. However, the nice boke at Falmouth (MCA) said they process the units/names immediately and tidy up the paperwork later. When I called, they didn't have my papers ready but my rib's callsign was enough for him to immediately produce my name from the system. So you lot are probably on the system...

Thats pretty much what he said to me. He asked for the Hex id ( which oddly I dont know off by heart) to make sure it was registered already. Makes sense really as i guess they want to know who they may be going to even if there is no bit of paper been sent. I assume they will turn out to unregistered alerts?
