Medline 850 drain in front

I have bought a zodiac Medline 850 with a small drain just below the waterline starboard front. It is covered with a half open “scupper” (not sure about word). I can not find were it goes to because of the inner hull. Appears to be below the anchor locker.

I suspect it is leaking (boat is filling, this is only logical source).

Does anybody know where this is going, or how to access the other side, on the inside of the hull?

Seller does not know….

Thx for any reaction.

Could be the anchor locker drain ( normally above water line) often have a stainless steel half moon cover.

I’ve only ever had one which you can see is directly into the anchor locker. Could it be there is a pipe linking the two, and this has failed?

There are 2 drains above waterline, with Stainless steel covers, there is one internal drain in the locker which i can see is not connected to anything. But the innerside of my mistery drain end somewhere under the glasfiber locker.

I suspect you are right, there must be one that failed. I am trying to figure out we’re to look to see if it did. Somewhat baffling: all these areas that become unaccessible once a boat has been build😳

If you have any hatches or cable holes, it might be worth buying/ borrowing an inspection camera, to have a look into the void.
I’ve got a cheap one, with a fibre optic cable to the lens with a small light to illuminate dark spaces. Very useful for this type of job.
It might point you to the problem
