You can't take your eye off the ball in the Strait Mate
Just for interest
Last Friday at LW
We put 2 ribs on Menai Bridge pier before the water left Dinorwic
With a Pro TV Cameraman on board we Filmed the Swellies at low water
This way and that way and around Gorad Goch (the island in the middle) plus pointing out the drying reef that lots don't notice on the Mainland side between Brittania bridge and Plas Newydd
The Plan is to film Caernarfon Bar and the Lavan sands etc at LW too
Make a CD Film thinghie
Showing all the Nav marks etc
Difference between high and low water on Springs
Bilingual as well!!!

I can imagine it's easily done... on the way back down from Puffin at 30+ knots I found myself wandering on to the green bits a couple of times and noticing the sounder reading 3m (

3m, that's fine! We cut across to Conwy from Beaumaris right across the sands. We had moments of 1.5m flash up! My arsenal twitched on each occasion but figured staying on plane gave us less draught!

I'm sure it's fine by local standards, but I'm used to the Clyde. If you've got 3m there you're in the marina!
Saw your boat moored off the Gazelle on Sunday... which particular species of Humber is it? Just so I can put one on my Christmas list you understand.

Cheers. Had it 6 years now, not the fastest hull compared to revenger etc but seems to plough through almost anything. Its a pretty tried and tested boat and used for a number of expeditions.
We went round Anglesey the other day in some decent weather and it took it all in its stride. I think we'd give up before it did!!
Wish we could use it more but olds are fair weather boaters and I have 2 under 3 and work.
Plus yellow means people can spot the pub!

As I understand it it's basically the same hull as mine, but bigger. I love mine in every respect other than size. It's just a bit narrow, and I'd like a side by side console. So I reckon an OP 6.3 would be ideal. Need to start saving.
