Mercury/Quicksilver 340, please help

Ive got a small rib on offer, which is an ideal size for what I intend to use it for.

Clearly its not the best RIB on earth but it is a hypalon.

Im wondering if anyone has used one and has any tips. Its a 2010, Im told has a 10yr material warranty.

I had a Quicksilver 340 air deck for a while and assuming that they're the same over there as we get in the UK then they're pretty good. Nothing in particular to make them stand out from the crowd but an honest decent quality boat at a good price.

The hard floor version is better than the air deck which is a bit floppy in anything other than calm conditions (although perfectly usable). Goes well with a 15hp 2-stroke.

This a fiberglass hull, hypalon tubes, takes a 25hp. Reasonable sized keel, would prefer a caribe but this is 1/4 the price.

Ah, sorry. I assumed it was a SIB.

I haven't used a Quicksilver RIB, but I would expect it to be OK. At the price difference you're talking about I know which I'd choose!

the just the same as (owned by) mercury ocean runners. 3.8m would be nicer, but this is a good compact size for us, fits nicely into a parking spot we have.

I've owned one for two years now, and it's holding up well. It's not the most capable of hulls. But on a good day you'd be surprised how far it can get you. I've gone from Southampton to Yarmouth and Poole to lulworth cove with mine, I'm also escorted by a bigger rib though just in case!

Thats nice, did you install the jockey aftermarket?

How much of a keel does it have under, is it design to cut through waves or do the pontoons bounce?

Hypalon is holding up?

I fitted the console myself at the start of the season. I've attached a photo to give you some idea how deep the hull is but it is quite flat at the back! I'll try and post a video.
