Mersey run....Sat june 10th 2017

we're doing a blast on the Mersey this Sat. Springs high water mid day, give or take. Anyone any suggestions Do's or dont's? Probably run 1 1/2 hours either side of high water. Also would you chat to Liverpool VTS. How far up stream can we safely go. widnes bridge? Ta Nik

Be aware of floating debris on the Mersey. Particularly after heavy rains there are all kinds of object, plenty of logs.
Where are you launching from? The slip at New Brighton requires registration with the council, you will need level 2 powerboat.
It's busy with large ships but you can monitor them with the Marine Traffic app.
Good luck, I'm waiting until the winter cod season when the slip is un manned :-)
