Mildew Spots Yellow Hypalon

Need to find someone with the special noxious cleaner - any ideas who I could call? No one in Lymington has the kit.

You need Shmuffex made by Blue Marine. RibShop in Hamble sell it.

Shmuffex worked really well on my old rib. Some areas needed two goes but it made a big difference to what was looking rather grim.

Tried that and most other generic mould removal products on the market without success. Shmuffex is the only thing that worked.

There is a thread on here somewhere that somebody on here researched the active ingredient in Smuffex ,i got quite excited and rushed out and bought 25 litres for £10 or £12 from the agicultural dealers CWG (central wool growers ) ,when you price the smuff you will see why ! ,think it was hyperchlorite but cant remember for sure, cant say if it works or not as never tried it on a rib ,lent it to my neighbour and it did clean his pool nice

Hypochlorite (caustic soda) is the active ingredient in TFR, recommended by Orca for cleaning Hypalon. TFR is cheap as chips.

I’ve used sodium hypochlorite with excellent results - see thread link below.

http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread.php?p=792699

Caustic soda, is sodium hydroxide.

I stand corrected
Hypochlorite is bleach.
Hydroxide as you say, is caustic soda. TFR has Hydroxide in it.
