Military grey Orca fabric

I am getting to the stage where the biggest remaining question is what colour

Has anybody got a photo they could post up of a rib (any rib) with tubes in Pennell's "military grey" Orca hypalon? Not just any navy rib ... unless you know for sure it is tubed with Orca (which I doubt because something like a Pac 22 is probably made from stuff half an inch thick)

I can find photos around of Neptune Grey and the lighter shades, but not the military grey which seems to be the darkest grey available. Colour renditions on their website http://www.pennel.fr/pages/orca_fab_colors.htm are pretty useless!

I believe mine is their Neptune grey (in 866). I'll try to find some military grey pictures.

Would probably be worth speaking to Chris at Henshaws, they make the tubes for a lot of the Navy Arctics and Pacifics and I would have thought will know exactly what your after.

Thank you

I thought/hoped the military grey would be a little darker than that (it doesn't look much different to Neptune), but now cookin' with gas on the colour scheme

The patches on this are in military grey, same colour as the MOD tubes.

Davidgriffiths (Ribnet member) has/had an all black 7m Vipermax, Disco console, 250 Etec. It looked very well. I wasn't quite brave enough to go for black grp. I was warned that getting the g/coat pigment even was tricky.

Steven,

Have you considered the possibility of wear patches also...

e.g there are some very smart RibQuests with Black tubes, grey wear patches (and I think a white hull)....

That's the thing ... Roy pointed out that white has a lot going for it because it doesn't show beaching scratches unlike every other colour, and it is pretty much the only colour you can easily get gelcoat repair in. Mainly I don't want a white interior because it will show the poo, but I must ask Roy if you can have a different coloured deck/consoles to the underside of the hull.

Mine has Grey non slip paint on the deck, and you can have the consoles and jockeys in whatever colour you want as well.

As Chris says, it's possible to have any colour combination.
The inside face of the transom has a gelcoat finish, the rest of the deck being flowcoat and non slip.
If you do decide on a different interior/exterior colour combination, just think about how it will look at the lip on the top of the transom, where the two colours meet.
