Military Spec RIBs
I was brousing on the net and came accross some military RIBs.
Thought that it may be a good idea to start a Thread about military spec RIBs.
The attached 1st photo is a RIB used by the Navy SEALS in the US.
There are two versions in operation, a 24 and 30 foot high buoyancy extreme weather craft. Primaraly used for insertion and extraction of SEAL tactical elements onto enemy occupied beaches. The 30 foot version utilizes the water jet propulsion system allowing for the beaching of the craft and close to the beach work if the SEAL platoon requires fire support.

CRRC (Combat Rubber Raiding Craft) 15-foot Zodiac. A heavily reinforced rubber inflatable boat. Used by SEAL and SDV platoons for over the horizon transits and insertion/extraction over beaches and in riverine operations. Light and easily handled by a squad, the CRRC can also be bundled and sent out of a C-130 under canopy - called a "rubber duck".

This is an Italian made military spec RIB. You can see the Italians enjoying the sun shine during a 'military raid' in Porto Bello LOLOL

Yes, but we should be able to get more people into a smaller boat than that !
"And the holder of the World Record for the most number of people in the smallest boat to cross The Pentland Firth, goes to....."
