My wife drives a Mitzi Outlander which is real good in the ice and snow on ordinary road tyres, just goes and stops pretty much like theres no snow there. It threw up an ESC fault to do with traction control the other day, the local lads diagnostic said it was a pressure fault in the ABS pump, which also houses software within a self contained ECU for traction control stuff. The Mitzi stealer wanted £860+VAT for the unit
.. but I found these guys
MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER 2.0 ABS (PUMP & ECU/MODULE COMBINED) - Part No: 4670A336 / 06210208914
£165 for a fully rebuilt and warrantied unit, plus postage etc and the local garage time to refit and bleed the brakes up. Thats a fair saving
. They will test your unit first. If it turns out to be ok, they refund £120 and keep the balance as a test fee ... not bad ?
