Mooring buoy paint

Hi all,

Looking for advice please on painting numbers /letters on my swing mooring buoy.

Some best is to sand the area and paint with toplac or similar and some others say Hammerite smooth is ok.

Any pointers please would be grateful

Thanks in advance

RIBase
Most of the ones I see seem to be black Sharpie pen unless that is the residue of proper paint that has stained the surface.

What about vinyl letters?

For me, a couple of layers of "Jumbo Marker"

Basically, Sharpie writ large

Everything else slides off.

Why do you need to put a name on your buoy?
