Hi There,
Unless I am mistaken you should consider Kedging or Kedge Anchoring.
Simply it uses two anchors. You drop one anchor off stern I suspect the one with the chain n it will work best here depending on wind conditions given that most boats are happiest pointing up to wind, however you will get the general idea, pay out sufficient length to make shallow shore, then give or walk with anchour onto beach and place second anchor on beach. Adjust slack accordingly.
Yachts do this often when there is less wind (given large windage and freeboard) and there is a lack of swing on mooring line.
Essentially it is a second anchor in useful use.
PS if you have suitable anchour and chain and you are comfortable with windage,
you can loop painter or bow line (light line is better) to Bow Eye (making off to bow eye in loop)and run through end of mooring chain preferably on runner,
extend a length of loop to beach by driving close, killing engine and making secure boat, then gently pull line for boat to run loop to end of chain or sufficently off shore. Always a good idea to also have a light (strong enough for wind and current pull) also brought ashore and left loose.
Hope this helps,

PS a bit of sand running against hull for a while will service to give it a good clean.
If you leave your boat in water for longer time, a good sand shave will get some of the crap of the hull. We used to run ours on to sand and drag it up and down the shallows on the sand to wipe "beard" off the hull.

Agree with Andrew, Blimp. One of the most important factors is the geography & prevailing conditions issue (pattern of tides etc). Knowing your beach. And there are a few in the Cork area that present the odd hazard. Not to mind taking the Atlantic moods on the chin! Be nice to see photos of your summer anchorages this year!

If you are going to use a running line and your boat is not small, you'll have a devil of a job hauling it just using a rope through a shackle, you'll need to use a pulley. Also, a rope which is not smooth will twist up badly as it's pulled tightly around the shackle.

I do like Biggles idea of taking a miniboat with you; I might use my 2 man towable toy ring (flat version) and paddle in.

Just be careful that you can get back out to the boat if the wind should pick up or your motor stops. If the breeze is offshore and you don't quite connect, next stop could be France.
It's a good idea to still lay a line from boat to shore and you can then haul yourself back out.

...the best beaches get a bit busy. 30 boats off of one small beach is not uncommon.

That's a best beach?

(1)First prepare anchor for deployment, (2) drive slowly towards beach with engine trimmed up. (3) Stop engine and take out ignition key. (4) Alight Rib into shin deep water whilst opening a bottle of bud. (5) Give wife/girlfriend clear instructions to wade out with rib to chest depth, (6) When in position shout deploy anchor. (7) Tell wife/girlfriend to carry back to shore the remaining case of buds.

Yep, seen that done pretty much to the word. Jardon's Missus up to her Threp'ny Bits in the dark holding picnic hampers, small kids etc. above her head. I prefer to back the boat in to about shin depth and then recover women, kids, kit etc.
