Mooring question

Hi all, i have a Brig Eagle 6 and have some questions about how mooring. although i have tried to use the bow "cleat" as it is (have to admit its a bit confusing to use securely), i am considering attaching the pennant directly to the tow eye. Does anyone have any suggestions?

also, does anyone have any suggestion as to how to use the single "bow cleat" to tie up the boat to the boat slip?

thank you !! love this boat!

I think most people use bow eye. I fitted a cleat so I didn’t have to. But ended up using how eye and using cleat just to tie rope too.

If the cleat assembly is only fitted to tubes I wouldn’t consider it more than temporary mooring fixing personally.

Hi gtflash, Thanks a lot for the response I agree the clear seems a little poorly designed. I haven’t quite figured out how to use it to tie up to the 2 bow line cleats on the dock. Wonder if anyone has any suggestions or photos. I have 3/8” dock lines.

Hi Jeff. Thank you. Helpful. The problem is the Brig has an unusual single bow cleat that is not typical. So am looking for some suggestions.
