More Horsepower? Rib or Sib

I have both a GR mk3 sib and a 4.7 hurricane. I am wondering if there would be any difference in minimum horsepower, ie easier planing etc. I believe the RIB has a smoother bottom but is heavier.


any idea?


I currently have a 70hp on the hurricane and a 30hp on the sib.
