More Power !!

My Osprey is rated to 120HP and is currently running 90HP I get about 36knots fully trimmed out 2 or 3 up.

I found these on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEBI:IT&ih=006

the benefit of sticking one of these (the working one) on the Osprey is there would be no re wiring or recabling as all the instruments, cables etc are identical to my current engine (Johnson V4 90HP), in fact the engines are almost exactly the same bar Carbs, Heads and ports.

How much of a difference do you think I will notice?

Chris

I know I wouldn't take the chance on another old outboard that could be hideously unreliable

If a 115 opti came up i'd jump on it though. You'd get good money if you sold it with a opti on it too

Point taken. It is a risk however I think I could give the engine a good look over and tell if it was crap. If I could find the money I would buy an ex demo 115HP Etech which is the engine I would really like on the back. There was one available earlier this year for £5k with 10 hours on however I could not find the money in time.
