VHF

however on safety boat on a lake Knife for cutting the ropes,,,,the yotties really like that, e.g they are entrapped, i decide to cut the rope, they then tell me its super NASA rope,,,,never mind i help ensure they see there kids tonight

Generally accepted 3 least usefull things are:-

1. A spirit level
2. An umberella (Pete 7 may disagree)
3. A Naval Officer.

Most useful 3 are:-

1. Someone who knows what they are doing.
2. Someone to remember all the things I forgot.
3. Someone to make sure 1 & 2 are doing their job.

Not including all the safety kit which is BAU.

Most essential - During the day suncream - and at night safety glasses to stop open eyes watering and messing vision.

Saw this helpful (though weighted towards commercial/ sailing etc. vessels) checklist ; includes details of anchors & drogues(ref. the other thread!)

Few more things to get the mind ticking over before voyaging from Port Solent to Gunwharf Quays
